Product Description

Diacetone Alcohol (DAA) is a chemical compound widely used as an organic solvent due to its conductivity, hypotoxicity, and environmental friendliness. In addition, it's a non-narcotic substitute for 2-Butoxy Ethanol to prevent whitening for paints and coatings. Moreover, with a boiling point of 166 oC, DAA is very competitive as a High Boiling Solvent (HBS), since its raw material, Acetone, is significantly cheaper than that of other HBS.

Application :

  • Antistatic agent for paints, coatings, leathers and etc.
  • Package printing for cigarettes and chocolates
  • Substitute for 2-Butoxy Ethanol as anti-whitening agent
  • High boiling solvents to substitute PMA, CAC and Cyclohexanone
  • Substitute MTBE as a gasoline/diesel additive to improve combustion stability, with an octane number of 110
